Why embroidery

Stitched,
not printed.

We sew your logo into the garment, thread by thread, so there’s nothing to crack, peel or wash out. Here’s what that gets you, when print is the better call, what your artwork needs and what it costs.

What you get

Why thread wins.

It lasts

Built into the fabric

Each stitch locks around a second thread on the back of the fabric, so your logo becomes part of the garment instead of a layer on top of it. The polyester thread we sew with holds its color through detergent, bleach and sunlight.

It looks the part

Texture print can’t copy

Thread has depth, texture and a soft sheen. A stitched logo reads as quality from across a room, before anyone is close enough to read it.

It gets worn

Worn for years

The pieces embroidery suits best are the ones people hang on to. Six in ten say they’d keep a branded jacket or fleece for at least two years, so a stitched logo keeps working long after the order ships.

The honest answer

Embroidery or print?

We only stitch, so here’s the straight version. Plenty of businesses use both: thread on the staff polos, caps and jackets, print on the event tees.

Stitch it

  • Caps, polos, fleece and jackets
  • Logos with clean shapes and solid colors
  • Uniforms and anything washed every week
  • Runs from 12 pieces, reordered as you grow

Print it

  • Photos, gradients and very fine detail
  • Oversized graphics that cover a whole front or back
  • Lightweight, stretchy athletic wear
  • Hundreds of the same tee for a one-day event

Your artwork

Will my logo stitch well?

Most logos do. Thread has a few physical limits, and the smallest detail in your logo sets how small it can be sewn.

  1. Text 5 mm tall or more. Block capitals hold at 5 mm. Most fonts need 6 mm, and scripts 10 mm.
  2. Lines at least 1 mm thick. Hairlines thin out or disappear in thread.
  3. Flat colors, up to 15. We match the threads to your logo for you, with no charge per color.
  4. Any file to start. A vector (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) is ideal. A clean PNG works too.

You see it stitched first. Once your logo is a stitch file, we sew a sample and send you photos of the real thing. We sew the rest once you have approved the sample.
