Measurements in inches, to a manufacturer tolerance of plus or minus 1 in. Most charts are the garment laid flat; the adult fleece charts list the chest measurement each size fits. The surest check is to lay a favorite piece flat and compare. Between sizes? The larger size usually drapes better.

The garment width laid flat, 1 in below the armhole. Double it for the around-the-body number.

From the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem.
