By using our website or placing an order with Stennings, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the site or place an order.

You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase from Stennings. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Stennings is a custom embroidery business operated as a sole proprietorship in the State of California. We are a small, owner operated studio that produces custom embroidered apparel and accessories.

Stennings creates custom embroidered garments and accessories. Every product we sell is made to order specifically for you after you place your order.

Because each piece is produced individually on a 15 needle commercial machine, slight variations in thread color, placement, and stitch density are inherent to the craft. These small variations are part of what makes handmade embroidery distinct from mass produced goods, and they are not considered defects.

All prices on our site are listed in US dollars. Prices may change at any time without prior notice, but any order that has already been confirmed will be honored at the price quoted at the time of confirmation.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. Stennings does not store your credit card information on our servers. All sensitive payment details are handled directly by Stripe under their own terms and privacy policies. You can review them at stripe.com/legal and stripe.com/privacy.

New custom quotes are paid in full before production begins. Some earlier quotes used a deposit and a later balance; your quote and payment requests always state the amounts due and when they are required. Follow those payment terms and any required proof approval to keep your order moving.

When your order requires a proof, review it carefully before approving it. When you approve your proof, you are confirming that all details are correct, including spelling, sizing, color choices, and placement on the garment.

Stennings is not responsible for errors in customer approved designs. If a misspelling, incorrect size, wrong color, or incorrect placement was visible in the proof you approved, the finished item is not eligible for a refund or remake at our expense.

Stennings is fully responsible for any errors introduced during production that were not present in the approved proof. If we make a mistake on our end, we will make it right. See our Refund Policy for full details.

Designs created or digitized by Stennings remain the intellectual property of Stennings unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. This includes any custom artwork we create on your behalf and any embroidery stitch files (digitizing) we produce or commission to convert artwork for embroidery.

Customers retain ownership of any original artwork they provide to us. By submitting artwork or logos, you confirm that you have the legal right to use and reproduce them. You also grant Stennings the right to reproduce that artwork solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

Stennings reserves the right to decline any order involving artwork that may infringe on third party intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and likeness rights. We do this both to protect ourselves and to protect you.

You agree to indemnify and hold Stennings harmless against any claims, damages, or legal costs that arise from artwork or content you provide.

All orders are made to order, and production times vary based on the complexity of the design and current studio volume. Full details on estimated production timeframes, available shipping methods, and shipping costs are available in our Shipping Policy.

Once your order leaves our hands, it is in the care of the shipping carrier. Carrier or customs delays can affect delivery. If your order is late beyond the timeframe we gave you, you can choose to wait or receive a full refund under our delayed-order policy.

Custom items are made specifically for you, so they cannot be returned or refunded for a change of mind. The only exceptions are items that arrive defective or items that differ from the proof you approved.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stennings' total liability for any claim arising from an order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that specific order. Stennings is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.

We welcome and encourage honest reviews of your experience with Stennings. Whether your review is glowing or critical, your feedback helps us improve and helps other customers make informed decisions.

Nothing in these terms restricts your right to share your honest opinion about our products or service in any forum, including review sites, social media, and word of mouth.

Our site may contain links to third party websites and services, including Etsy, Stripe, and our shipping carriers. Stennings is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party site.

Purchases made through our Etsy shop are also subject to Etsy's own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy in addition to these terms.

When using our site, you agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information when placing an order or contacting us
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the security or operation of the site
• Scrape, copy, or republish content from the site without our written permission
• Impersonate any other person or entity

We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders from anyone who violates these acceptable use rules.

If something goes wrong with your order, please contact us first at support@stennings.com. We genuinely want to resolve any issue directly and fairly, and the vast majority of concerns can be sorted out with a friendly conversation.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, these terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action arising from these terms or your purchase shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts located in California.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of your jurisdiction. Where local consumer protection laws provide greater protections than these terms, those local laws will apply to your purchase.

Stennings may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our products, or applicable laws. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

If any provision of these terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
